These refreshing recipes are simple, nutritious, and a surefire way to make those hot days more enjoyable. Ready to transform your kitchen into a summer snack haven? Frozen Summer TreatsKeep your pets cool and happy with these easy-to-make frozen delights! These frozen treats are not only fun but also packed with pet-friendly ingredients to ensure they’re both safe and delicious!

Peanut Butter and Fruit Freezies
Ingredients
  • 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • ¼ cup water
  • ​A few tablespoons of peanut butter (ensure it's xylitol-free)
Method
  1. Puree the berries with water in a blender.
  2. Pour the mixture into ice cube trays, filling them three-quarters full.
  3. Add a small dollop of peanut butter to each mould.
  4. ​Freeze until solid.

Banana and Peanut Pup Pops
Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter (xylitol-free)
  • ​2 ripe bananas
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
Method
  1. Mash the bananas and mix with peanut butter and coconut oil until smooth.
  2. ​Pour into moulds and freeze for at least 3-4 hours.​

Ingredients
  • 1 can tuna in water (drained)
  • 1 tablespoon plain yoghurt (optional)
  • ​1 teaspoon catnip (optional)
Instructions
  1. Blend the tuna and yoghurt into a smooth paste.
  2. Stir in the catnip for an extra treat.
  3. Spoon the mixture into small moulds or ice cube trays.
  4. ​Freeze for a few hours and serve sparingly as a cool snack.

Chicken Broth Ice Cubes (For Dogs and Cats)
Ingredients
  • Low-sodium, no-onion chicken broth
  • Water
Instructions
  1. Mix equal parts chicken broth and water.
  2. Pour the mixture into an ice cube tray.
  3. Freeze until solid. These cubes can be added to your pet’s water bowl or served as snacks.

Ingredients
  • 70g pineapple, diced
  • ​50g melon or watermelon, diced
  • 50g mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)
Instructions
  1. Combine all diced fruits in a bowl and serve fresh.

Doggie S’mores
Ingredients
  • Dog biscuits
  • Carob chips or powder (as a chocolate substitute)
  • Plain or Greek yoghurt
Instructions
  1. Melt carob chips and mix with yoghurt.
  2. Layer dog biscuits with the carob mixture for a tasty treat.
